EDS, now HP, was established in France in 1985 with 80 people. Since then, its operations have developed through organic growth and through acquisitions (SPI in 1986, SD-Scicon/GFI in 1991 and Eurosept Management Consulting Services in 1994).
HP now employs approximately 4,200 people in France and is ranked among the leading IT services providers in the French market, especially for systems integration and systems management. HP operates an Information Processing Centre near Paris and has several other data centres in France. Other major HP locations in France include Paris, Lyon, Le Havre, Lille, Strasbourg and Aix-en-Provence.
