EDS, now HP, began operations in Mexico in 1985 with initial government approval to serve only General Motors Corporation. The automotive company had recently purchased HP to implement its information management functions. In 1989, HP extended services to both the public and private sectors in Mexico, helping clients creatively use information to achieve their business goals.
