U.S. Federal Contract Vehicles Originally Awarded to EDS
Contract Vehicle FAQs About Our New Name
Now that EDS is HP Enterprise Services, which name should you to use for government on contracts awarded to Electronic Data Systems (EDS)? We hope that this short FAQ will help clarify. Read more.
Q: Has EDS changed its legal name?
A: No. On September 23, 2009, EDS will begin using a “doing business as” (dba) or branding name: “Electronic Data Systems, LLC, dba HP Enterprise Services.” The use of this dba name does not change EDS’ legal name. EDS’ legal name remains “Electronic Data Systems, LLC” for now.
Q: Will EDS change its legal name?
A: EDS currently plans to change its legal name to “HP Enterprise Services, LLC” in early 2010. This change in legal name will be accomplished via corporate filings in Delaware. Following a change in legal name, EDS will update its representations and certifications in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database and the Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA). Additionally, EDS will seek federa; government recognition of the name change in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) requirements. As there is no present change in legal name, EDS will not be updating its CCR or ORCA entries pursuing a change-of-name agreement with the federal government, at this time.
Q: What is EDS doing to ensure a seamless transition for government customers?
A: EDS greatly values its government business and is working hard to ensure that the merger with HP causes no disruption to our customers or interference with our business dealings. If you have questions or concerns about a U.S. government contract, please contact the appropriate contract manager as listed on this website for assistance.
