Determined to enhance its standing on the President’s Management Agenda and improve service to citizens, this federal civilian agency looked to EDS, now HP, to deliver an end-to-end solution to help the agency not only achieve its goal, but surpass it.

We consolidated the agency’s various homegrown help desk operations into a single, enterprisewide help desk. Next, it migrated nearly 200 business applications running on 400 servers to our data center in just six weeks. The team replaced the legacy mainframe infrastructure and is now working to create a streamlined, virtual environment. We also implemented a robust disaster recovery solution. Though the modernization effort continues, the agency has already earned the coveted Green rating on the President’s Management Agenda and a 93 percent user satisfaction rating.
