NMCI Virtualization Recognized with InfoWorld's Green 15 Award (17 Jun 2009)
NMCI's virtualization initiative, recognized with a Green 15 Award, will save the Navy more than $1.6 million annually in energy costs or about $700 per virtualized server. This level of decreased power consumption means we essentially eliminate four tons of carbon emissions per server, per year. That is the equivalent of taking 2,800 cars off the road each year.
