On May 3, Citrix announced its selection of HP as the Citrix Ready Solution of the Year Award winner for 2009. Announced at Synergy, Citrix’s annual reseller and customer conference, the award is recognition of a long-standing collaborative partnership that has fostered an impressive array of technical solutions and outsourced service offerings.
The annual Citrix Ready Solution of the Year Award recognizes the Citrix partner that excels in delivering and driving adoption of Citrix-based solutions. During their 13-year history of collaboration, HP and Citrix have engineered many high-performance solutions that exceeded customer expectations.
HP's creative use of Citrix technology was key to HP’s selection for the Citrix Ready Solution of the Year Award. Since 1996, HP has leveraged Citrix technology to enhance our remote server management, remote desktop management and server-based computing capabilities. Citrix’s XenApp software is the foundation of HP's Thin Client Workplace Services Offering. Here, Citrix technology is harnessed to stream hosted applications to remote end users, thus securing corporate data within the data center.
“This award recognizes the value Citrix and HP jointly create for organizations needing the efficiency, cost savings, data security and flexibility these solutions bring,” said Tony Adams, HP Workplace Services product marketing manager. “We’re proud of this relationship and the breadth of innovative and highly competitive solutions that have resulted from it.”
According to David Jones, vice president of the Citrix System Integrator Development Group, “Citrix provides the infrastructure needed to support large-scale implementations across global enterprises. We work with integrators like HP to develop leading-edge technology solutions that enable customers to conduct business globally in a cost-effective and scalable way,” Jones said.
Based on this successful history of collaboration and partnership, HP divisions and Citrix are exploring new ways to push the technology envelope even further. HP Labs are dedicated to testing and validating Citrix products, including XenApp, XenDesktop, XenServer, and storage and server devices. Additionally, next-generation Citrix solutions that will enhance HP's ability to serve our clients are in development at the HP Plano solution center.
“This award symbolizes our close commitment to developing services that focus on our customers’ key business needs,” said Matt Trevorrow, vice president, HP Workplace Services. “It’s an award that amplifies HP core values – innovation, quality, trust and service excellence.”
