Meeting Or Exceeding the Most Stringent Security Standards
The commercial card processing system used by HP is hosted on an IBM mainframe with a z/OS operating system for maximum transaction processing power. Programs are written in COBOL MVS. HP continuously upgrades hardware and software versions to stay current, and we provide 99.9% uptime for the mainframe system.
Our Web-based products enable banks to provide self-assistance to their corporate customers. These products include:
- Company-level reporting
- Account maintenance
- Cardholder statements
The maintenance function provides real-time updates to account data. Transaction information that is posted each night is transferred to the Web products to ensure users have access to statements and reporting early each morning.
HP Web-based products are hosted on Windows 2003 servers with load balancing to ensure connectivity every time. Our Web products offer real-time updating to the mainframe databases using secure socket layer (SSL) connectivity and have 99.9% availability rate.
HP monitors system usage and expands capacity before usage reaches a critical point. This ensures clients have superior response times and efficient processing.
HP interfaces with MasterCard and Visa via TCP/IP connections to send and receive transactions for authorization and settlement. The authorization response time is far below the maximum set by the associations. The interfaces also enable HP to support MasterCard's SmartData OnLine and Visa Information Services reporting tools. HP can send data directly to clients, giving them the ability to upload data to their proprietary general ledger and expense reporting systems.
We meet or exceed the most stringent security standards for our facilities and systems. HP is certified as compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards.
